Litchi is very rich source of the nutrients that required for the production of blood.

Ingredients

  • 40 litchis (prefer red ripe lychee)
  • 4 tbsp of lemon juice
  • Sugar 6 tsp ( prefer powdered  sugar)
  • 2 cup of chilled limca or sprite/ soda water
  • Few ice cubes
  • Mint leaves , litchi pulp and lemon rings for garnishing

Directions

 

  • Peel the litchi and discard the seeds.
  • Puree the litchis in a blender.
  • Strain the litchi puree through soup strainer to remove any hard particles or impurities.
  • Add lemon juice and sugar to the puree.
  • Take a glass, pour half of glass with  litchi drink / puree  .
  • Then after add 1 cup of  limca/ soda water in  each glass of  litchi lemonade/ puree mixture.
  • Add few ice cubes.
  • Garnish with mint leaves, litchi pulp and lemon rings.
  • Serve immediately. Serve chilled in boring scorching summer afternoon.

    My mom tips-

  • If you have not limica or soda water just skip this.
    Go with other ingredients of this easy recipe… litchi lemonade is ready to sip.
  • Use powdered sugar to instead of granule sugar because it will take less time.
  • Use fresh ripe litchis. Adjust sugar in litchis drink according to the sweetness of litchis.
    If the litchis are sour .add more amount of sugar. I have mentioned above a normal requirements for this recipe.
  • Always load this drink with lots of ice cubes for cooling and refreshing effect.
